Pomerleau Awarded $56 Million Contract at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre

The provincial government has awarded the current construction contract for the Surgical Suite Addition & Renovation project at CHU Dumont to Pomerleau Inc. The Quebec based construction firm had the low qualified bid for the latest phase of construction, which is slated for completion in September of 2021.

Architects Four designed the Surgical Suite Addition & Renovation project, which has been broken into three distinct phases or sequences. The two previous contracts, consisting of sitework, completed by Foulem Construction, and the building enclosure (foundations, structure and shell), recently completed by Springhill Construction, leaves the interior and renovation construction to the third and remaining phase to be completed by Pomerleau.

The Surgical Suite Addition & Renovation project is designed and being built based on accepted green building assessment protocols, and is targeting Three Globes under the Green Globes Canada system.
