The Irving Eco-Centre, La Dune de Bouctouche, is the cover shot for Ron William’s new publication, “Landscape Architecture in Canada”, published by McGill-Queen’s University Press . The aerial view captures the building cluster as well as the serpentine boardwalk that extends 2.2 kilometers down the sensitive barrier dune. The author was present for a public reception and book signing October 1st at the Irving Eco-Centre, part of LACF and CSLA’s ‘’CONVERSATIONS 2014’’ about Landscape Architecture in Canada – a cross Canada speaking tour. The Eco-Centre’s design team, led by landscape architects BDA Ltd. included Architects Four (former principal Élide Albert and Andrew McGillivary). Bouctouche’s tourism complex, La Pays de la Sagouine, is also in the book, which is available for purchase from online retailers such as Chapters and Amazon.
