Architects Four was retained to a renovation and expansion to the existing Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Level one includes a new Surgical Suite, Surgical Day Care, Phase ll Recovery Unit, Post-Anesthetic Care Unit, Med/Surg. Intensive Care Unit, Med/Surg. Step-Down Unit. Level 0 includes Central Sterilization Reprocessing, Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Clinic, Shipping & Receiving. Site features includes a new patient entrance, drop-off, expanded parking and perimeter roadway. The 17,225 m² (185,341 sf) three and a half storey facility houses the most complex and intensely serviced components within a modern critical care health facility. The project has received Green Globes certification.
