Profile Type: Labratories/Kitchens
Location: Moncton, New Brunswick

A cornerstone building to anchor the campus entrance, this 3,500 m² single storey structure was designed to accommodate Environment Canada requirements for water testing laboratories. The two axis plan organizes the laboratory functions along the north/south spine while the east/west axis serves the office components. A clerestorey element introduces daylight into the central portion of the building.

In context with its campus neighbors, the main mass of this low profile building is buff coloured brick. The colourful machine-like front facade is accentuated by a steel framed sunscreen structure placed before reflective curtainwall elements. As well, the mechanical penthouse, housing building ventilation systems, is finished in brightly colored metal cladding.
