At the end of Haviland Street in Charlottetown, where the land meets the quiet rhythm of the harbour, Paoli’s Wharf rises from a site steeped in maritime history. Just steps from downtown and the leafy boardwalks of Victoria Park, the development reinterprets coastal living through a lens of timeless elegance and urban convenience.
The building’s design takes cues from grand seaside resorts of another era, yet its expression is wholly contemporary. A long, composed volume bends gently at its centre, flanked by stone-clad turrets that echo historic coastal architecture. Mansard rooflines and projecting balconies add rhythm and softness to the façade, while slender stair towers articulate vertical movement without compromising the building’s calm presence along the shoreline.
Within, twenty-four light-filled homes span four levels, each enjoying dual exposure: east toward the morning sun and west toward harbour sunsets. Carefully arranged around three vertical cores, the layout offers an uncommon degree of privacy and quiet, with just eight residences per core.
The project reflects a deep respect for its surroundings, both natural and historical. It brings together the comforts of refined residential design with an enduring connection to Charlottetown’s waterfront legacy.
