The Villa Providence reimagines long-term care through the lens of dignity, belonging, and well-being. Replacing the former facility, the new residence is composed of small-scale, household-style clusters, each accommodating 30 residents. This shift away from institutional care embraces a home-like, human-scaled setting where autonomy and connection shape the rhythms of daily life. A dedicated 20-bed wing provides secure, specialized care for psychogeriatric residents, supporting therapeutic routines within a calm and protective environment.
The design process was rooted in meaningful dialogue, with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals shaping key decisions around comfort, function, and flow. Private rooms offer quiet space for retreat, while shared kitchens, living rooms, and dining areas foster everyday moments of togetherness.
Generous glazing in bedrooms and common areas draws natural light deep into the building, framing views of landscaped courtyards and sensory gardens that extend the healing experience outdoors throughout the seasons.
Every element has been considered to support both independence and care: wide, softly illuminated corridors with open sightlines; acoustic treatments that cultivate tranquility; and spa-inspired bathing rooms designed with dignity in mind.
Villa Providence is more than a residence; it is a place of life, where care is relational, community is integral, and each day unfolds with grace and purpose.
